Government

Local and federal governments manage assets in varying locations and each have their own set of security and surveillance issues. Security is integral to government for the protection of the property and the personnel within. Town halls, libraries, zoos, galleries and parks also share the same surveillance and security issues as governments, and can all be accommodated using OmniVisions state-of-the-art surveillance systems.

Obtaining an electronic security system is an important strategic investment each government must take. CCTV systems, video analytics software, specialised IP cameras, alarms and intercoms are required to protect government assets now and in the future.

The combination of the right security measures is one important factor. Using the wrong surveillance and security products can have an impact on the desired effect. OmniVisions leading video analytics and IP surveillance technology will help to minimise theft and damage to a property. CCTV systems and security cameras remain the first choice for the government sector as they provide first class surveillance.

OmniVision has the equipment, expertise and effective security systems to establish a secure solution. The customised security and surveillance infrastructure solution provided by OmniVision is an open, common security and surveillance infrastructure, which accommodates digital video technology and IP access control

Protecting national post, country borders, bases, security checkpoints, airports, homeland security is a vital part to daily life here on Earth. Every country faces the threat of emanate attack from it’s aggressors, instead of having troops as the only measure of security, security cameras now can take surveillance to a whole different level. With technology advancing and cost becoming more reasonable, we will see the birth of artificial intelligence integrated with various security cameras and the security digital video recorder software that instructs them. You would want nothing less than the best technology to give you leverage and the best information as to what is going on the field. We are determined to deliver nothing but the best equipment and support to ensure your countries military personal and assets are safe.

Healthcare

Security and Safety – Two critical areas in the Healthcare industry that may not receive the emphasis and attention they require. At Salient Systems we understand the overall quality of healthcare services is directly related to providing a safe and secure environment.

Of primary importance are:

• Newborn and Infant Security
• Nursing Staff Safety
• Patient Care and Visitor Safety
• Protection of Property
• Protection of Assets
• Prevention of Crime

Having a security system in healthcare institutions is of critical importance, considering they are places with high-valued equipment, accessibility to drugs, and many entrances. A hospital needs common precautions against fire, attacks, and vandalism as any other large facility. At the same time, heightened security requires special electronic protection solutions such as control against abduction of infants from maternity wards or threats against patients or staff, and crimes of opportunity. Hospitals are extremely complex buildings that need the strongest security solution.

Hospital video surveillance plays a critical role in supporting security personnel as they provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment which supports the mission of the healthcare organization. It allows for pre-motion detection to view events as they unfolded and easy retrieval of video for administration and law enforcement viewing. Video surveillance of hallways, entrances and exits and parking garages provides a deterrent to crime and supports hospital administrations’ desire for 24 hour/365 day nursing staff safety.

Designing an integrated security system is the most appropriated way to meet the facility’s needs and protect hospitals against potential threats. In an integrated system, several available products and solutions (alarms, hospital access control, and CCTV security systems) are used to create a customized security strategy.

MAHA ASIA highly skilled team, experienced with evaluating a Hospital’s infrastructure and identifying threats and vulnerabilities. We focus on its specific weaknesses and offer the necessary hospital security solution to protect the institution’s people, property.

Having a fire alarm is also important, if not required, in institutional environments. In the event of a fire, these facilities are highly populated and often difficult to evacuate. It is the institution’s responsibility to ensure that clients are protected. Thus security solutions may prevent lawsuits and protect the organization’s reputation.

Perhaps the most significant and effective security product in a hospital is the CCTV security system. Many security-related incidents are resolved from the use of a closed circuit television. To combat the risk of patient disappearance, a CCTV can be installed in the entrance of a patient ward.

Security staff can then view people entering and leaving the area. It can also be used in lobbies, operating rooms, labs and pharmacies, among others. In some highly technical cases, cameras can even be programmed to count the number of people moving through an area or identifying and reporting that an object has been removed or left behind.

Oil & Gas

Oil and gas are still important energy sources and are hard to replace, especially for mobile applications. Since it is only in the rarest cases that the raw materials are used in the same place where they are found, they have to be transported, usually through pipeline systems. From the points of extraction to land (onshore) or water (offshore), the fuels are often transported across long distances to the buyer or processor.

The compressors or pumping stations along the transport route ensure the necessary pressure is maintained in the pipeline. The plants are usually controlled from a central control station. However, this is often a long way from where the process is taking place. Depending on their size, drilling platforms are frequently unmanned. Important process data, such as the pumping pressure, temperatures, or flow rate, are transmitted to the control station either along data lines in the pipelines, or via satellite. The equipment used is also exclusively installed in potentially explosive atmospheres, and so needs to be suitable for use in these areas.

Resilient equipment for the toughest applications:

•The ExCam series, especially the stainless steel models, are the most resilient explosion proof cameras in their class: their extremely weather resistant stainless steel casings have a rating of IP67, which means they are absolutely dust-tight and watertight during temporary submersion, making them ideally suited for all offshore uses.
• All cameras in the ExCam series can be heated: not just the lenses, but the whole body of the camera. So that nothing freezes and all systems function optimally even at -20°C (-4°F).
•Despite their light weight and small dimensions, all cameras in the ExCam series are constructed using the “pressure-proof encapsulation” type of ignition protection. This means that, unlike for rival products in “pressurized enclosures”, no additional pressure monitoring equipment needs to be installed. The installation costs of the ExCam series are thus kept to a minimum.
•The SKA01 system cable transmits all necessary signals (power supply, video and control signals) to the ExCam series in a sheath. Thanks to the special PUR jacket, it not only complies with the EX regulations of standard 60079-14, but is also flame-resistant, resilient, and suitable for use even in extreme temperatures.
•Its minimum sensitivity of 0.0004 lux makes the ExCam niteZoom so sensitive that it does not need powerful lighting technology. This means that, in combination with a 50 watt headlamp, the ExCam niteZoom can replace comparable systems with 400 watt xenon lights. For more information, watch this demo video.

Network and availability – new technologies solve old problems:

In the long term, IP based communication networks will replace the analogue structures of existing CCTV networks. The advantages of the TCP/IP protocol are obvious: audio signals, process data and video signals can be so easily transmitted over long distances that installation distances lose their significance.
•Cameras, loudspeakers, and microphones in hazardous areas can be connected to the(Ex)Connection Rail series, and their signals converted into network flows. This step makes these signals readily available, whether directly on site, on the control room at the other end of the country, or even worldwide.
•However, it’s not only unmanned plants that can be viewed using SAMCON technology: thus, for example, it is possible to speak to the work team at the plant from the control room via the DECT ExNF full-duplex interface! In addition, the workers are all part of a DECT conference and can thus communicate with each other.
•Using SAMCON technology, unmanned drilling, pump, and compressor stations can be connected to the central station via fast data links, whether through a VPN tunnel over the internet, via satellite, or via bidirectional radio.
•Using the SAMCONtrol video management system, videos can be displayed where they are needed, even directly in the process control system. SAMCONtrol is currently the only purely web-based video management system in the world. By using web technology like Adobe Flash™, SAMCONtrol spares the client the need to install video software: each browser becomes a fully equipped video management system!

Residential

The use of MAHA ASIA CCTV (MASB CCTV) cameras on residential properties is becoming increasingly common, which can be worrying if you feel that your privacy is being threatened.

There is an exemption for domestic or Residential processing of personal information, as long as this does not involve putting personal information on a website or making it available to the world at large in another way without good reason.

This means that if a MAHA ASIA CCTV (MASB CCTV) camera mounted in your neighbor’s property is overlooking your land, it is unlikely that they will be breaching the Data Protection Act. However, they may be breaching other legislation such as the law about harassment or voyeurism, and so may be subject to investigation by another body, such as the police.

The use of cameras for limited household purposes is exempt from the DPA. This applies where an individual uses MAHA ASIA CCTV (MASB CCTV) to protect their home from burglary, even if the camera overlooks the street or other areas near their home. Images captured for recreational purposes, such as with a mobile phone, digital camera or camcorder, are also exempt.

The Data Protection Act does not apply to individuals’ private or household purposes. So if you install a camera on your own home to protect it from burglary, the Act will not apply.

Education

MAHA ASIA CCTV (MASB CCTV) monitoring for security purpose is carried out in a legal, professional and ethical manner. The people responsible for MAHA ASIA CCTV (MASB CCTV) monitoring are trained and supervised and have to do a high pressure work that has lots of dangers. Through a MAHA ASIA CCTV (MASB CCTV) monitor, the individuals are targeted; on the basis of characteristics such as gender, race, ethnicity, disability, etc. among all these an important issue is that the placement of the camera will not violate the privacy. The recorded images that are obtained from MAHA ASIA CCTV (MASB CCTV) are stored in a secure location, and only authorized Public Safety staff oversees and coordinates it, which is used for safety and security purpose. Even high tech security cameras can be installed.

Public Safety Department staff members follow all Education procedures, policies and guidelines while watching the MAHA ASIA CCTV (MASB CCTV) cameras and are answerable or responsible for the daily process of Camera system. If the person doesn’t supervise the monitor carefully or the person’s mind is distracted in some other work, the crime might happen in a short moment, and for this crime the Education supervisor can be held responsible.

Other reasons why MAHA ASIA CCTV (MASB CCTV) is used at an Educational Institute Education:
To detect the theft of cars, to stop graffiti and especially rather offensive graffiti and to improve general security in the different areas of the Education
